Bring your awareness to the breath as it enters and leaves your body, focusing on the area of your heart. Soften your heart. Bring an image of yourself there.
Open to forgiving yourself. Repeat the words ‘I forgive myself’
‘I forgive myself for any harm I have done, for any pain I have caused, whether through my words or my actions, I forgive myself’
Watch the resistance rise, reasons why you shouldn’t forgive yourself. Acknowledge them and let them go.
Breathe in forgiveness, breathe out resistance. Let forgiveness fill your entire being. Now bring into your heart someone that needs to be forgiven by you, someone you would like to forgive. Hold this person in your heart.
Breathe out anger, pain or fear and breathe in forgiveness. Silently say to this person ‘I forgive you, I forgive you for any harm youe done, for any pain you have caused, whether through your words or your actions, I forgive you’
Take you time. Recognise what is holding you back and let it go. Breathe out reasons why they should not be forgiven. Feel your forgiveness embracing them, loving them.
Now bring into your heart someone form whom you wish to ask for forgiveness. Hold that person in your heart with love and forgiveness. Silently repeat the words ‘I ask for your forgiveness. If I have hurt you or caused you pain through my words or my actions please forgive me.’
Accept your vulnerability and mistakes. Breathe into your resistance.
Breathe out resentment, pain, fear, breathe in forgiveness. Keep repeating the words.
Feel your heart opening. Know that you are forgiven.
